︎CONTENT CREATION + SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

iMIND BRAIN FOOD

At Prager Creative, I gained hands-on creative experience producing Instagram content from ideation to publishing for the iMind Brain Food Brand.

IDEATION

When working with the iMind brand, one of my tasks was to come up with ideas for new Instagram posts.  In only a few ideation sessions, I came up with 100+ original ideas for our art director to run with. It was so exciting for me to see 11 of my ideas make it all the way to the iMind feed.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

I was able to help our agency’s workflow by designing some of my favourite concepts myself. I worked in Canva and learned to use brand guidelines to create compelling and cohesive visuals. I was lucky to work with an extremely talented graphic designer who gave exceptional feedback and honed my eye for consistency and balance.

The post attached above was my first design for the brand. My strategy was to tag as many local accounts as possible to build brand awareness and increase our social media exposure. I conducted research to find original gifts that would appeal to our target consumer, and created categories that aligned with the iMind ethos.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

I planned three posts per week,  two months in advance, using monday.com. Organizing content taught me the importance of series, rather than one-off executions. By planning in advance, I was able to create content for future events, holidays, and social phenomenons. It was the year of Severance, and the White Lotus, so I planned posts in our “Meme Monday” series to align with the release of their season finales.

MEME-VENTORY

As you can probably tell, iMind loved memes. One of my tasks was to find memes to fit that week’s key selling message. After realizing how much time I was wasting redoing the same research every week, I decided to streamline the process, which led to one of my favourite projects. I created the meme-ventory to document all the options left on the cutting room floor. By associating each with an emotion and a potential caption, the art director and copywriter had an easy jumping-off point, and my work from previous weeks was repurposed.

CAPTION COPY

iMind Captions were always fun to write. I learned to be concise, funny, and restrained myself from using too many puns. My favourite captions contributed to the post without repeating themselves.
